How much time should you allow?
Schiphol is a big airport with long walks to the gates. Allow about two hours for a flight within Europe and three hours for an intercontinental flight. Add the journey time and half an hour's margin for traffic. For an early flight that means leaving in the middle of the night, which is no problem as long as you book ahead.
